To be appointed you’re going to have to go in front of a judge and petition the court for a date to go in front of the judge to actually be appointed by the court.
At that point the court says, “Yes. You are hereby appointed to be the executor of this estate.”
Then a few days later you’ll be issued what are called “letters.” Letters are going to be your ability to move forward with signing on behalf of the seller and to be able to sell and list the real property.
